Hello to all who have stumble across this and to those I have lead here. My goal in this endeavor is to share my passion for what God has created. His creations are full of wonder and awe. They bring peace and His presence if one would only stop for a moment and truly see what is before your eyes. I believe that too many of us rush through this thing called life and never fully appreciate what God has done for us. We are so often caught up in what we either lost or think we need that we forget to enjoy what is in front of us.

I am a mother of 3 boys. Two that have graduated high school and the third one who will graduate in 2013. My oldest is now married and has a brand new baby girl. They live a few thousand miles from me so I cannot visit and be there as often as I want. It is for my granddaughter and those to come that I start this in hopes that they would know me and also their roots.

My second son decided he would join the army. I am very proud of his decision. For the

first time I know how a mom can feel both pride and fear but I know that God will take care of him and no matter what, God is in control of all that he goes through. His faith is strong and will see him through.

So with my family going their own way, I found that I have time to reflect and sometimes to fall into depression. So to pull me up I have to rediscover another part if who I am. My purpose so to speak.

My husband of 24 years is and always will be my life. He has come first and will continue to hold that place, but most of who I am has been sidelined. So to stave off the blues and to preserve memories I venture onto the blog.
